A successful onboarding day alternates three moments: a plenary presentation of the company, small-group workshops to meet the teams, and informal time over coffee or lunch. Plan a break every 90 minutes: attention drops quickly when everything is new.
Away from the office, newcomers discover the company without everyday distractions. Look for a venue that is easy to reach by public transport, with a plenary room and nearby spaces for workshops. At Comet, everything happens in one place, with no transfer, a few minutes from the metro in Paris, Brussels and Madrid.
For a small intake, a standard meeting room is enough. For a large onboarding wave, Comet Arboretum hosts up to 400 people in La Plénière, and Comet Bourse La Ville Rêvée up to 280 people in its Auditorium, with nearby rooms for workshops.
Bonds are often formed at the table. With La Table du Chef Meliava, the welcome breakfast, lunch and breaks are homemade with seasonal produce, and every dietary requirement is taken into account.
Ending with a team activity or an afterwork helps new hires remember faces as well as messages. The team activity with our partners is added to the same quote.
