The tipping point is technical: as soon as you have speakers, projected slides and a seated audience, you need a control desk and a rehearsal. Plan the running order of the talks, a sound and picture check the day before or that morning, and a fallback for remote speakers. The conference standard (microphones, sound system, screen, on-site support) is included.

A successful conference rests on three things: a room of the right size, technology that does not let you down and a well-welcomed audience. Here is what to check before you book.
Start from your real headcount and the layout you want. At Comet Bourse, in the 2nd arrondissement, the Auditorium at La Ville Rêvée offers up to 280 seats in a single room, and the Grande Place holds up to 350 people. In Nanterre, La Plénière at Comet Arboretum welcomes up to 400 people. For 100 to 200 participants, Comet Bercy (200), Comet Cœur Défense (140) or Comet Ternes (120) are a good fit. Beyond one room, we spread the audience across several spaces in the same venue.
Theatre style maximises capacity for a one-way presentation. Cabaret style lets you alternate between listening and workshops without moving the tables. Classroom style suits formats where the audience takes notes. If your day mixes plenary and breakout sessions, check that the venue has additional rooms nearby.
A conference forgives little: a crackling microphone or a dropped video call is noticed straight away. Microphones, sound system and 4K projection are available in all our venues, with technical support on site all day. Video recording is available and can be added to the package at extra cost: plan for it from the brief, as lighting and sound are prepared in advance.
The quality of a conference is judged from the welcome onwards: cloakroom, coffee, signage, a preparation space for the speakers. At Comet, a dedicated team welcomes your guests, and catering signed by our Chef is included: welcome coffee, breaks, lunch and closing cocktail.
All our venues are less than a 10-minute walk from a metro or RER station, in central Paris and in La Défense. Comet Bourse is 4 minutes from Bourse metro (line 3), Comet Bercy 4 minutes from Cour Saint-Émilion (line 14).
