Accept that May is an atypical month and adjust the format. Fewer full days, more agile formats: team breakfast, strategic morning, offsite afternoon... All of it well targeted, well paced and well organised.
2. Organising an outdoor event in May: weather vs plan B.
The month of May has a slightly deceptive charm: you think summer is here, but the weather still loves playing with our nerves.
One day wide blue skies, the next showers and a chilly wind. Not ideal for calmly planning an open-air event.
And we are not going to lie to you: a garden party in the rain loses a bit of its magic (unless you had put wellies in the dress code).
