Pointless meetings, no training, unequal access: the YouGov study run for Comet Meetings in France, Belgium and Spain, summed up in one infographic.
In July 2022, YouGov surveyed a panel of 1,004 French, 1,003 Belgian and 1,003 Spanish working people on behalf of Comet Meetings about their meeting habits. Here are the findings, in infographic form.
First finding: the pointless meeting is still the norm, even though employees do not actually meet that often.
Second finding: one-to-one meetings remain rare among managers, and the demand for improvement is overwhelming in all three countries.
Third finding: that demand largely goes unanswered by employers, and the younger employees are, the less clear the purpose of a meeting is to them.
Final finding: access to meeting training is unequal, particularly between women and men.
