After France and Belgium, Comet Meetings is opening Comet Retiro: 1,900 sq m of meeting rooms and spaces facing Retiro Park, in the heart of Madrid.
After five years of growth in France and Belgium, Comet Meetings has decided to broaden its horizons and set up in Spain. The French start-up, co-founded in Paris by Victor Carreau, Nicholas Findling and Maxime Albertus, which raised €30 million in 2020 (Eurazeo, Bpifrance, among other new and long-standing investors), has met with resounding success in France and Belgium and is now entering Spain, in an emblematic Madrid building.
The key to its success: championing in-person meetings in settings that foster collective intelligence, with innovative equipment and an inspiring venue. For its first Madrid opening, Comet Meetings has chosen a historic building steeped in the past, facing Retiro Park, on one of the city's most emblematic avenues, Calle Alfonso XII, opposite the famous Puerta de Felipe IV and next to the Casón del Buen Retiro.
“Comet Retiro” will be made up of different worlds spread over six floors, in a 1,900 sq m space with several catering areas, meeting rooms, shared spaces and outdoor areas. The 19 modular meeting rooms can host 2 to 80 participants, are fully equipped and are designed to encourage creativity and teamwork. Two outdoor spaces also offer a privileged view over Retiro Park.
Among the services on offer, a dedicated team meets every client need, alongside all-inclusive packages at very competitive prices that bundle activities such as wellbeing sessions to start the meeting with energy.
“For us, being able to carry Comet's vision into our projects is essential: companies need to learn to hold fewer meetings, but better ones. In our view, a successful meeting has to meet five conditions: an environment that encourages exchange, a level of service that lets people focus on what matters, the right participants, content that is structured and properly delivered, and finally the right mindset to reach the meeting's goals,” explains Victor Carreau, co-founder and CEO of Comet Meetings. “This new opening and our landing in Madrid mark a very important step in our international expansion, bringing the successful meeting format and the Comet concept everywhere.”
The various options offered depending on the project (standard half-day, gourmet half-day, full day, afterworks and evening events) come with tailored activities before and after the working session, such as wellbeing sessions and team-building, as well as services such as a team of facilitators to structure the day and steer the content, all in order to make each meeting, and work in general, more productive in a motivating and stimulating way.
