Comet moves into this LaSalle-managed asset and once again illustrates its vision of the office of the future
Opened on 3 July, the 1,500 sq m space at the top of the ALTO tower has been entirely designed and is operated by Comet for LaSalle Investment Management, one of the world's leading real estate investors. The venue is conceived as an unexpected oasis at the heart of Europe's foremost business district. True to Comet's long-standing DNA, the space draws on the codes of the hotel industry to meet the expectations of the building's occupants. As usage trends show, while new ways of organising work keep employees further apart, they now come to the office to meet and work together. For investors, it is also a way of preserving the value of their assets.
Comet Hospitality: helping companies respond to new ways of using the office
With its Comet Hospitality offer, Comet aims to provide a complete answer for companies facing the new equations that offices pose. The role of the office has changed considerably since the pandemic, as flex-office working has become commonplace. That is all the more true for commercial real estate professionals. Providing space alone is no longer enough: a service offer has become essential to guarantee added value. Comet therefore brings an innovative offer, one that meets all the new expectations of companies. With Comet Hospitality, Comet designs, builds and manages spaces dedicated to collaboration and social time at work, spaces that fully adopt the codes of hospitality. With support and a complete experience in mind, it offers a wide array of services and lets companies tailor those services on request. In doing so, Comet helps office real estate professionals increase the value of their own offer.
For this partnership with LaSalle, Comet brought all of its expertise to bear, as Victor Carreau, its CEO, explains: “With Comet Hospitality, we support our clients and design with them a new proposition for workspaces and meeting spaces that answers growing needs for services, assistance and flexibility. Our Hospitality offer is also a compelling solution for our clients in a declining market: through the excellence of the spaces and services, they preserve the rental value of their portfolio.”
“ALTO was developed with the ambition of offering an unprecedented level of service support in the workplace. Comet's services will make daily life for the tower's users even more distinctive. They are discovering an experience that anticipates the office of the future. ALTO positions itself as an attractive answer to real demand for new types of space: places to flourish in a setting that contributes to professional performance while adding conviviality and entertainment,” comments David Machut, Asset Management Director at LaSalle France.
COMET x ALTO: spaces and services
The space operated by Comet, around 1,500 sq m, includes 6 meeting rooms, a relaxation and gaming area, a catering and bar area and a 200 sq m outdoor terrace at the top of the tower. ALTO is designed as a “vertical village”, at the centre of which “the Unexpected Oasis” encourages people to socialise.
Comet also handles the operational management of services on the 5th floor of the tower, covering 1,100 sq m: auditorium, business centre, foyer and VIP lounge.
As a reminder, the ALTO tower is home to: Alpiq, AT&T, Avis, B2V Gestion, BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management, Bureau Veritas, Fortinet, Fujitsu, Heidelberg Cement, Médiaperformances, Pandora, Optimind, Software AG, a Dubble restaurant on the ground floor, as well as a major French luxury house.
Comet Alto: an unexpected oasis in the heart of La Défense
The space operated by Comet occupies the whole of ALTO's 37th floor. Particular care was given to the space and its purpose, to bring a convivial atmosphere and a warm spirit to what could have felt like an overly mineral surface, especially on the terrace. As in every Comet venue, a guiding theme animates the space; here, the Oasis was chosen. Comet Alto evokes the warmth and colours of the East and applies a natural, authentic spirit throughout its layout and decoration. This new space is innovative and unusual in the La Défense landscape: the intention to make the tower's employees want to meet or work there is entirely deliberate. All the more so as the HR stakes in commercial real estate are now clear: the quality of workspaces and the comfort they offer for time spent together count for a great deal when it comes to attracting and retaining talent and meeting new corporate expectations.
