Comet is strengthening its teams with four hires across communications, sales, product and growth, to support its expansion across Europe.
Comet recently reported positive financial results and an acceleration of its expansion across Europe. To strengthen its offer, support its growth and raise its profile, the company has hired new talent in communications, marketing, product design and sales. The places where people "work together" are changing, and HR decision-makers and corporate real estate managers need to understand them better, with specific features from one country to another. Beyond its offer of venues dedicated to meetings, Comet wants to share an entire philosophy of the workplace, and it is with that ambition that it is strengthening the skills of its team.
Claire du Boislouveau, Head of Communications: a specialist in startup communications in an international context
A graduate of the University of Amsterdam and of Neoma Business School (Reims), Claire du Boislouveau moved into public relations early on, first with the teams at IBM and then Accenture, before joining the agencies Oxygen and Rumeur Publique to work with international tech clients. She then turned to global communications strategy for startups, joining Bpifrance Le Hub (the accelerator for startups backed by Bpifrance) as Media and External Startups Manager. With her team, she supported close to 250 promising French companies there. She became Head of Communication of the incubator in early 2021, working on brand structure and on its visibility within the ecosystem. At Comet, Claire du Boislouveau is now tasked with nurturing and showcasing the brand's identity across its different markets, giving it clarity and visibility in order to accelerate the company's development.
Laure Cavalié, Head of Sales, Corporate & Institutional Relations: an expert in international development and a builder of connections
Holder of an MBA in Finance from EM Lyon, Laure Cavalié began her career in 2010 as an Associate Director with the bank UBS in Madrid, a role in which she notably developed the asset portfolio of more than 300 clients while working to improve client service and team productivity. She joined one of the world leaders in microcredit, ADVANS, in Accra (Ghana) as Sales Project Manager in 2016. Her remit there was to improve methods and processes in support of sales activities. Still in Ghana, she joined Société Générale to head up the Multinational Corporations division. She returned to Madrid in 2021 as Private Banker and Project Manager with the investment firm Welzia. At Comet, as Head of Sales, Laure Cavalié brings her experience in managing sales teams in an international context, along with the strength of her network. She played an active part in the launch and development of Comet Retiro, Comet's first venue in Spain, drawing on her knowledge of the local business environment and the specifics of that market.
Charles Buseyne, Head of Products: designer of the ideal client experience
Charles Buseyne brings to Comet nearly 20 years of experience in optimising solutions and products, notably in the travel and tourism sectors. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris and HEC, he began his career at Air France, where he stayed for 13 years, working on the Air France and KLM offers and, more specifically, on strengthening the e-commerce solutions aimed at both airlines' customers. He then took up the role of Senior Product Manager at KDS (Neo Technology Group). Driven by the conviction that technical progress can always bring users more comfort and a richer experience, he joined Egencia (Expedia group) in 2018 as Global Product Director. There he led the transformation of the booking offer, with the rollout of a new platform for customers worldwide. At Comet, Charles Buseyne will draw on all of that expertise to optimise product strategy and bring simplicity, fluidity and flexibility to the offer. His remit also includes strengthening the quality of the client experience before, during and after booking.
Thibault Deméocq, Head of Growth: digital marketing in the service of revenue acceleration
After a degree from IESEG in marketing and entrepreneurship, Thibault Deméocq joined the Jumia group in 2014 (Rocket Internet group) and cut his teeth in digital marketing and growth marketing. He held the role of Traffic Manager for Artsper before joining the freelancing platform Malt in 2019. A genuine explorer of what is possible in digital marketing, Thibault Deméocq has a thorough command of the field, with a specialism in data management. As Head of Growth at Comet Meetings, he will activate every lever available in his discipline to support the growth of the business. That means improving processes as much as putting new tools and initiatives in place.
