One year after arriving in Madrid, Comet reports 22,000 visitors, nearly 700 events and 120% revenue growth in Spain.
Comet, the French start-up that has redefined corporate meetings and events in Spain, is celebrating its first year with a series of notable achievements. Its innovative approach to meetings, built on a strong sense of design, service and content, has established it as an essential partner for companies in sectors as varied as consulting, luxury, pharmaceuticals and finance.
The achievement is all the more striking given that the company set up its Spanish headquarters in a 1,900 sq m building with 19 meeting rooms in Retiro, at the heart of the Spanish capital.
First-year achievements
- Scale: more than 22,000 visitors have experienced the Comet revolution in professional meetings and events since its launch in Spain. Across Europe, the venues dedicated to the Comet Meetings offer have now welcomed 700,000 visitors since the company was founded.
- Events: in one year, the spaces at Comet Retiro have hosted nearly 700 meetings and events, fostering collaboration within companies.
- Growth: Comet has recorded a significant 120% increase in revenue in Madrid since September 2022. Across Europe, the company reported revenue of 27 million euros for 2022, a year with only nine months of full activity because of the Omicron variant.
- Clients: in Spain, more than 300 companies already trust Comet as their partner for meetings and events, among them RENFE.
Comet's success is no accident: it answers the current needs of the Spanish working environment and offers an effective solution for more productive meetings and more memorable events.
The Comet x YouGov study of July 2023 also points to trends that reinforce the company's mission.
According to the survey, 50% of Spaniards believe that isolated, remote work has a negative impact on their personal and professional development. A further 44% believe that meeting in person makes meetings more effective.

These findings give full weight to Comet's mission: bringing people together in a world that tends to pull them apart.
"Launching Comet in Madrid, after opening a venue in Brussels in 2021, meant confirming our international reach and the fit between our model and other European markets. That is a real challenge for any entrepreneur entering new territory. We are therefore particularly pleased to see Spanish companies embrace the concept and want to offer a more stimulating, higher-quality setting for their everyday professional meetings and events. It is also a sign of a shift in working practices towards hybrid: working remotely, yes, but on condition that we make the most of moments of cohesion and cooperation and turn them into decisive ones," explains Victor Carreau, co-founder and CEO of Comet. "We are delighted to bring our expertise to Madrid-based companies and help them give new value to in-person time, in perfect complement to the rise of digital habits."
Looking ahead: Comet continues to grow in Spain and is preparing further developments in the capital. As evidence of the French company's commitment to the Spanish market, Nicolas Findling, one of the three co-founders and Chief Revenue Officer, has moved to Madrid.
One of those developments can already be revealed: the forthcoming opening of two brand-new floors in the Comet Retiro building. The extension will turn the building into a venue devoted exclusively to professional meetings and events. In parallel, Comet's teams are continuing to look for new addresses in Madrid to support their expansion, with the ambition of offering Spanish companies an exceptional setting in which to discover the brand's philosophy.
