That moment can be a challenge for many, and it is more important than ever for professionals to step out of their usual work environment and look for inspiring places that let them start with a more positive mindset, in an adaptable, stimulating setting designed to improve performance. Comet, the innovative meeting space facing Retiro Park, offers a way to approach the new season differently. How can appealing, interactive design make business meetings more effective?

Designed by the Madrid in Love studio, every floor at Comet pays tribute to the city of Madrid, and to Retiro Park in particular. Each level of the building references a landmark of the park, with the aim of creating a warm atmosphere and the perfect setting for any creative meeting.
Ground floor: the Glamping
Trees are the main characters here: this is the boldest intervention, evoking the activities you can enjoy among the trees, such as camping or building a treehouse. The entire look and every material revolve around that idea.
First floor: the Dream Pond
Inspired by the lake in Retiro Park, this floor stands out for its aquatic character: the rowing boats and the greenery surrounding them are the main features of the space.
Second floor: the Enchanted Book
The main theme is the Book Fair, a major Madrid event held in Retiro Park. The floor draws on the permanent stalls of the Cuesta de Moyano, with their characteristic blue, their orange awnings and their rows of books. That look shaped the common areas. The meeting rooms are decorated with themed details referencing well-known folk tales.
Third floor: the Crystal Palace
Here the reference is the Crystal Palace, now an exhibition venue attached to the Reina Sofía museum that hosts major shows. The intervention by MIL STUDIOS creates an installation built on the distinctive effect of glass and light, and on the colours and reflections it produces.
Fourth floor: the House of Beasts
One of the most curious: the Casa de Fieras refers to a former zoo located in Retiro Park. The exotic animals kept there, from tigers to bears and monkeys, gave the place its name, and it has since become a library.
Seventh floor: the Grand Observatory
The Real Observatorio de Madrid, with its old decommissioned telescope now turned into a museum, is a little-known but important spot in the park. On the seventh floor, the CAC (Comet Astronomic Center) offers a spectacular terrace with a 180-degree panoramic view over Retiro Park and across Madrid, an observatory in its own right.
