This acquisition takes place in a context of profound changes in the commercial real estate market. These developments are redefining expectations and require constantly reinventing both the quality of use and the office experience.
Icade announces the acquisition of a majority stake of 81.5%¹ in Comet, a leading name in corporate events at the crossroads of office real estate and hospitality.
Founded in 2016, Comet has developed an integrated platform built around three complementary activities: Comet Meetings, dedicated to corporate events, Comet Hospitality, focused on service-based management of buildings, and Comet Workplaces, specializing in flexible workspaces. The Comet group operates 12 sites in Paris and the Île-de-France region as well as 2 sites in Europe, and serves nearly 7,000 client companies, the majority of which are large accounts.
In 2025, the company generated revenue of €43.9 million and reported positive operating profitability.
This acquisition takes place in a context of profound changes in the commercial real estate market. These developments are redefining expectations and require constantly reinventing both the quality of use and the office experience. Today, three out of four employees want to be able to go to the office every day to meet up with their teams², share a common culture and sustain collective dynamics—dimensions that remote work cannot replace. The office can therefore no longer be seen as a simple workspace: it must be a true place of services, interactions and experiences.
In this rapidly evolving market, this transaction reflects a strong conviction at Icade: its tenants are no longer just users of square meters, they are clients. Above all, it confirms the vision of the office of tomorrow that Comet has been developing since the Covid-19 crisis: convinced that remote work and the rise of hybrid organizations would durably reshape employees’ expectations, the company very early on bet on spaces capable of constantly adapting to the changing needs of businesses, combining long-term viability and flexibility to put services and lived experience back at the heart of the workplace. This shift in perspective is profoundly transforming the way office real estate is designed and managed.
With the acquisition of Comet, Icade is taking a new step in this transformation. The Group is asserting its ambition to move beyond a purely asset-based approach and become a leading partner for its clients, placing at the core of its offering the quality of services, the accessibility of its buildings, the environmental and social performance of its portfolio, as well as the experience of every user.
Nicolas Joly, Chief Executive Officer of Icade, states: “The acquisition of Comet is fully in line with Icade’s transformation strategy. With ten years of experience serving businesses, Comet has developed unique expertise in designing spaces that make people want to come back to the office, fostering interaction and conviviality. By integrating this know-how in usage and hospitality, Icade enhances its value proposition and opens up new growth drivers for its portfolio. This transaction marks another step in our ambition to offer our clients much more than office buildings: attractive, high-performing places to live and work that create value.”
For their part, Victor Carreau, Nicholas Findling and Maxime Albertus, co-founders of Comet, explain: “By joining Icade, Comet is gaining a long-term partner to accelerate its development. We share a common vision of the office of tomorrow: a more flexible, more welcoming workplace that is more focused on how it is used. This transaction opens up new opportunities to roll out our expertise on a larger scale.”
